Flag day commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States but it is not an official holiday.  I wanted to share a brief post because sometimes we can take our flag, and all that it represents, for granted.  This is obviously not a picture of the American flag but it is the flag that flies at Fort Mifflin, which is located near the Philadelphia Airport, and is considered to be THE FORT THAT SAVED AMERICA.  If you have not been to Fort Mifflin, then I highly recommend a trip.  It is full of history, is a beautiful site, has been investigated by the TV show Ghost Hunters, and you can also watch planes fly by closely overhead.  I will do a complete blog post about Fort Mifflin at a later date.  Today I just wanted to highlight their flag.
