If you haven’t heard about it yet, there is a great play place for little ones in Glen Mills called Romparoo. I met the owner last year when I was a vendor at the West Chester Just Between Friends Consignment Sale. The owner’s name is Devon Laudenslager. She is young, fun, and one of the sweetest people you will meet. We sat next to each other for an entire weekend during the consignment sale and became instant friends. She is amazing with kids and so accomplished for someone so young…she has one other location in Hoboken, NJ, where Romparoo started. She temporarily lived in Hoboken but now is back in the Delaware Valley, where she grew up.
What is Romparoo all about? Good question…to quote Romparoo’s website:
We are a soft indoor playroom that offers both mommy-and-me play classes as well as two-hour drop-off classes. At Romparoo our classes were designed to stimulate all of your growing baby or toddler’s senses. It’s a great place for your child to explore his or her imagination and practice crawling, walking, or skipping without getting hurt! Watch as your child learns to interact with others and make his or her first friends! (It’s a greats place for mommies and nannies to make grown-up friends too!)
We like to keep growing along with you by taking in your feedback and modifying our current programs as well as creating new programs. We introduced our “On My Own” drop-off classes in September 2005 with great success! We help children learn to be a little more independent and place emphasis on sharing and being creative. It is an often silly class where Old MacDonald frequently has a monkey on his farm and on one very special day even had a jellyfish!
Romparoo took it’s next big step in September 2006 by beginning our unique “My Big Step Up” program. This two-day-a-week class is structured in themes and is geared towards being a transition class to preschool. It is more days, more structure, more growth! We have received excellent feedback for this program and are excited to be offering it again each year!
Here the storefront of Romparoo. Aren’t the graphics adorable? The pics aren’t my best work because I shot at the absolute worst time of day but I think you still get a feel for how cute this place is from the outside alone.
Here is the absolutely adorable and ultra-sweet Devon…
She is so silly..
Here is the main playroom for Romparooo…I wish I had one of these rooms in my house. My son had a blast even without classes being in session.
Gotta love the little faces throughout…
So what are you waiting for…sign up for classes now.
