Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Before baby #2 arrives and our life goes into hibernation for a little while, we wanted to take Gavin to see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  The weather was perfect, which made it a no brainer of a decision.  We made sure to get on the road very early and nab one of the free on street parking spots my mother in law is so famous for finding.

On our way to find our spot along the route, we met this wonderfully colorful character.  He even let my mother in law put his parrot on her head.

Three and a half is a wonderful age for a parade.  Gavin was in awe of the balloons and was very well behaved during the entire parade.

As the parade went on, we were able to sneak closer to the route and get a better view.

The highlight of the parade…Santa Claus.  He was great…jumping up in the air and waving at everyone!

There are so many things I am thankful for this year.  A new home with room outdoors for Gavin to play and Omari to tinker in, a baby on the way, wonderful clients, plus amazing family and friends.  Life has been increasingly difficult for everyone, more for some then others, but we will make it through and things will get easier soon.  I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and hope it leads to an even better 2013.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!
