LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FAMILY THIS WEEKEND?
I recommend a trip to the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg.
Ever since we moved from the city to the suburbs and have horses living next door…my husband has been obsessed with learning more about the agricultural world. Of course, being a loving wife, I agreed to attend the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg. We had a great time and it was a wonderful family outing.
I didn’t want to drag my “good camera” in large crowds of people so I put my new smartphone to the test. All the pictures below are taken on my phone’s camera and edited with an app called Snapseed.
Gavin was particularly excited to see the gigantic cow and box of ice cream greeting us at the entrance. Another favorite was the butter sculpture.
I was particularly impressed with the massive horses that were just about to enter the arena. I know very little about horses and have no idea what kind they are…if anyone would like to educate me then I would be happy to learn.
They also had a lot of activities for the kids…I thought the carousel ride went for a nice length of time.
We ended the day seeing the pigs and the bunnies. Warning…the bunny area can get very congested since they are so darn cute. We met one little girl was so sweet and let Gavin pet one of her award winning bunnies.
There is also a lot of really tasty food to be eaten…served in a totally separate area from the animals of course. We got the honey waffles and ice cream…which was delicious.
If you are free this weekend and looking for something to do…check this place out.
